Lawford Engineering started in the 1960’s when Rochester based engineer Jim Lawford decided to turn his thirst for problem solving into a business to help others.
When Jim was presented with the problem of how to “keep ‘em in the ditch” Jim’s love of the game and engineering background led to a practical solution.
Shifting his focus to manufacturing, supplying, and installing prefabricated ditch walls that were designed to virtually eliminate lawn bowls rebounding, Lawford Engineering began to grow. The ditch walls mentioned are made to exacting standards and comply with design specifications set down by Bowls Australia.
Our ditch walls are manufactured from fibre and steel reinforced concrete to 40mpa strength and are delivered in 3 metre lengths. The prefabricated walls are designed for easy installation or the Lawford team can arrange the installation for you.
Lawford Engineering business has been serving Australia for over 20 years. Our products have even been sort after by our friends ‘across the big ditch’ in New Zealand.
Lawford Engineering continues to thrive and flourish. With the business now being run by enthusiastic couple, Peter Lawford and Kim Mundie.
Kim works as the Business Manager as is focused on growing the business and helping more clubs and keen bowlers to maximise their use of quality Australian Owned and Manufactured Bowling Products.
