What a wild year it has been for everyone! We’re very excited here at Lawford Engineering to see everyone get back out there and play their favourite sports again!
With the newest updates from the Victorian Government, announcing the last step of restrictions there is some great news for bowlers and clubs!
The main changes you need to be aware of are:
- Face masks no longer mandatory whilst playing if you can maintain a 1.5m distance from other players
- Number of players has increased
- Bowls clubhouses can open, subject to density limits. Meaning you can have a bite to eat and a drink after your game (hoorah!)
- Spectators are allowed to come and watch subject to the same density limits
- Water fountains are no longer banned
- Indoor bowls can resume
- Tournaments, social and barefoot bowls can re-commence.
This comes as great news for all you keen bowlers out there, and we can’t wait to see you having a grand old time down at your local with all your bowling family and friends!
